During mining strikes in our area, striking miners wore red bandanas around their necks to show signs of solidarity and to show which side they were on. Members of the coal companies often wore white handkercheifs around theirs to show the opposite. Hence the term "redneck" much like "lobsterbacks" that the British were called.
About 4 friends of mine and myself was throwing snowballs at mike waltrip. we had a ball yesterday at the track. the crews was throwing the snowballs more than the people that was watching the race. that was alot of fun.
